Community Transport Pilot Scheme

Here you will find links to a Guidance Note and application form in respect of a new pilot Local Link Community Transport Service scheme. Please pass on to any community groups you believe may be interested.

Grant aid of up to €5,000 for the project is available. The value of the grant will be determined on a case by case basis.

This is a Closed Call for applications in that the Local Link office – in this case ourselves in Ring a Link – is being requested by the National Transport Authority (NTA) to identify one only potential project from one only of the counties Kilkenny, Carlow and Wicklow; and seek the required information from the community group proposing to operate the service. There will, thus, be only one successful project between the three counties.

The closing date for receipt of applications to us at ringalink@gmail.com by 12 mid-day on Tuesday 19th November to enable us to recommend a suitable application to the NTA. See the links below for the guidance notes and application form.

Our Local Link bus Service Search feature is now available. Please visit https://locallinkckw.ie/service-search to search for Local Link bus services. There you can enter your address or EirCode, or drag the marker to your location, and find Local Link services that are available in your area.

It is not necessary to find your exact location. Simply enter the name of a town, village or townland, click Find Address, and the map will automatically move to that location. Then click Find Services, and the system will tell you which services operate in that location.

Some of our services operate on a fixed route, while others are demand-responsive, and operate within a defined area. Demand-responsive services must be booked in advance, and the passenger must be registered. If you find a service that you want to use through the Service Search feature , please register at https://locallinkckw.ie/register.

Ring a Link at Ploughing Championships 2019

Ring a Link will be attending the 2019 National Ploughing Championships at the NTA Local Link stand on the 17th, 18th and 19th of September, located in the Government of Ireland Village. Find us at Stand 417, Row 19, Block 4.

Please feel free to visit our stand, where you will find information about our bus services. You will also be able to register for any of our pre-booked Local Link services, and find out more about how our services operate.
