SERVICES OVER THE EASTER WEEKEND 2024
Regular Rural Services will be operating over the Easter bank holiday weekend. Regular Rural Services running on Easter Monday April 1st 2024 that will operate the Sunday timetable are as follows:
LL800 Arklow to Sallins
LL897 Kilkenny to Athy
LL887 New Ross to Carlow
LL885 Baltinglass to Sallins – Saturday, Sunday & Bank Holiday schedule
LL183 Sallins to Arklow operates the same schedule 7 days a week, 364 days a year so no change in timetable to advise of!!

Good Friday Regular Rural Services operate as normal as it is not a public holiday! There are no Carlow or Kilkenny Door to Door services on Friday March 29th 2024. Any Carlow/Kilkenny Door to Door services operating on Saturday March 30th 2024 will operate as normal so book before 16:00pm on Thursday March 27th for Saturday services and also for services on Tuesday April 2nd 2024.

TFI Local Link Carlow Kilkenny Wicklow enhances route from Baltinglass to Sallins from March 11th 2024!
This enhancement is part of the Connecting Ireland Rural Mobility Plan which is a major national public transport initiative developed and funded by the National Transport Authority (NTA) as part of the Transport for Ireland (TFI) Network.
Route 885 will continue to serve Baltinglass, Stratford-On-Slaney, Dunlavin, Brannockstown, Ballymore Eustace, Blessington, Naas and Sallins at a higher frequency to improve connectivity from Baltinglass to Sallins.
The enhanced route will now operate six daily return services Monday to Friday and four daily return services Saturday and Sunday. It will also offer improved connectivity to Naas Hospital as well as to regional rail services in Sallins.
Speaking ahead of the launch, TFI Local Link Carlow Kilkenny Wicklow, Manager, Jackie Meally said:
“Due to the significant uptake on this service since it started in November 2023. It has been decided to provide additional schedules due to popular demand. We wish to thank members of the community in Baltinglass and surrounding areas for their input in the enhancement of the service.
This newly enhanced service will provide people will more access to services and onward connections seven days a week now providing six return trips Monday to Friday and four return trips on Saturdays, Sundays & Bank Holidays”

Temporary road Closure – R758 from Junction with R756 at Lockstown to junction with L 8353 at Annacarney
Wicklow County Council hereby gives notice of the temporary closure of the following public road

| Alternative Routes | Northbound Route. From junction with R756 at Garryknock via L 8352 Togher road to junction with R758 at Annacarney. Southbound Route. From junction with R758 at Annacarney via L 8352 Togher road to junction with R756 at Garryknock. |
| Reason for Closure | This road closure is necessary to facilitate new road construction and Junction improvement at Lockstown Valleymount as part of a Specific Safety Improvement Scheme. |
Wicklow County Council apologise for any inconvenience caused
For the duration of the roadworks The LL183 Sallins to Arklow / Arklow to Sallins bus will head towards Sallins and will continue on the R756 to Hollywood and then the bus will take a right turn onto the N81. On the return journey towards Arklow the the bus will operate the same route.
Valleymount Church and Ballyknockan Junction stops will not be served during this period. All other bus stops will be serviced as normal. As a result some delays can be expected.
